ΙΧΘΥΣ
A fish, and a name that means salvation.
Ichthys (ΙΧΘΥΣ) is the ancient Greek word for “fish.” In early Christianity the fish was a sacred emblem, and its five letters were read as an acrostic for “Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior.”
We wished to be that kind of quiet savior for skin that is changing with time. So we gave our skincare this name — and built it upon the gift of the sturgeon, an ancient species that has swum the earth’s waters since prehistoric times.
